Application protocol

1. Strand test
Always begin by assessing the actual resistance of the hair.

2. Preparation
Wash the hair with a suitable shampoo. A strong clarifying shampoo is not always necessary.

3. Drying
Dry the hair before application.

4. Application
Apply Excellence strand by strand, keeping approximately 0.5 cm away from the scalp.

5. Processing time
Adapt processing time to the hair type and resistance.

6. Rinsing
Rinse partially depending on the diagnosis and sensitivity of the fiber.

7. Blow-dry
Blow-dry carefully before flat ironing.

8. Straightening
Work on thin sections and always adapt the temperature to the hair.

Professional guidelines:

• bleached or highly sensitized hair: up to 180°C
• fine or slightly sensitized hair: around 190 to 200°C
• resistant colored hair: up to around 210 to 220°C when its condition allows

Hair diagnosis always takes priority over a theoretical temperature.

On highly sensitized hair, the goal should never be maximum straightening at the expense of hair health.

Adapt rinsing and flat-ironing to the actual resistance of the fiber.

When hair shows high elasticity after bleaching, a strengthening treatment phase may be considered before reassessing whether straightening can be performed.

If the strand test shows the fiber is too brittle or insufficiently resistant, postpone the service.
